I just learned how to use actions in Photoshop. (Thanks to a great tutorial) It’s sort of addicting. : )I think I spent an hour playing with these last night… and maybe an hour or two this morning while I’ve been doing my homework. Here are some pictures that I added some actions to. (I don’t even know if I referred to that in the right way, but oh well.)

Have I ever told you about Tyler’s songlists that he writes? It’s probably his favorite thing to do, he listens to his (or my dad’s) iPod and writes songlists when he hears a song that he wants to be added to the songlist. He was writing this songlist last Monday when we were hanging out at B & N with my mom. This songlist is for July 16… that’s his birthday. : )

Dead End

I’m currently knitting myself a pair of really cute slippers… whenever they are finished I’m going to add these buttons to them. I love them!

I still try not to edit (or process?) my pictures too much… but sometimes it’s just fun!

boring

Steak

I’ve felt boring lately. Not bored. I have had plenty to do.I feel boring.

I could blog about how my economics book took over my brain last week. I was dreaming about socialism. Really. That’s boring.

I could tell you about my left shoulder that popped out of place or pulled some muscle of some sort, making normal daily tasks like fixing my hair and unloading the dishwasher painful and extremely annoying. But that’s really boring.

I could also tell you how Chase has decided to start learning to play guitar. When I moved out of my parents house I thought that I’d never have to listen to the tuning of a guitar at home ever again. I’m actually enjoying it though, I love music! I guess that’s not very boring, but not very blog worthy. Maybe tweet worthy.

I could probably blog about a lot of little things, but I guess I’d rather you think that I fell off of the face of the earth than think that I’m boring. Oh well… I’ve come to realize that, hey! I am a little boring. That’s okay! : )

Steak Dinner

But I will tell you one thing, I love steak. Chase and I made a delicious steak dinner Sunday night. Steak with a side of skillet roasted potatoes, sauteed zucchini, and a lovely piece of buttered bread. Possibly my favorite meal. Really. And to drink? Chocolate Milk. : )

Anyway, if you ever wonder why I don’t post as often; it’s just because I feel boring. That’s all!

I’m sorry the quality of this clip is so bad, but Chase and I watched this episode a few weeks ago and I’ve been thinking about it ever since. I laught out loud everytime I watch it. I thought I’d share it with you!

goodbye summer, hello fall

2009 October 2

I finally said goodbye to summer this week. Summer is my favorite season and I really hate to see it go. Mostly because I hate being cold and I think that everything looks better in the sunshine. And it’s very rare to see much sunshine once fall has started. We had a beautiful sunset the other night and I took some pictures of it.

Summer Sunset

I love the idea of sitting at home, grabbing a blanket, and reading a great book. Or baking a delicious dessert and drinking a yummy coffee with it to keep me warm. But all the other things that come with fall don’t really seem that exciting to me.

I really don’t like rain. Mostly because I’m short and I don’t own a single pair of pants that aren’t too long. I’ve tried hemming them myself and I always hate them because I’ve always grown up with pants that are too long so that’s just the way I like it. Having too long pants isn’t that bad for like 4 months of the year. The rest of the eight months I spend holding my pants up while I’m running through parking lots trying to get out of the pouring down rain. Then when I get home I can’t stand wearing my wet pants so I take them off and put on a new pair. Then I realize that I forgot something at the grocery store and have to go back outside. Now I have two pairs of wet pants and freezing feet. This is what fall feels like to me. Wet.

Well this year when fall started coming around I was actually started to feel excited. I was waking up to mornings like these:

Fall Morning

I love the sunshine, and I don’t mind the cold if it’s kind of sunny out and I have a cute coat on. But most mornings that start like that I end up looking out windows that look like this:

Rainy Windows

Wet. Wet. Wet. But I’ve decided to accept it and enjoy it. So this morning I woke up early and whipped up some pumpkin chocolate chip muffins and made a couple latte’s. That was the first time I acknowledged Fall. (That and the fact that we had to pull out our little space heater earlier this week.)
