shopping, Mariners and books!

August 6, 2008

Sunday Chase and I decided to go spend the day in Seattle! We’ve been planning to all summer and thought Sunday would be a good day for it! It was a beatiful day, not too cold, not too hot and plenty of sunshine! We started the day by going to a bakery in Ballard that Paige and Stephen told us about. It was very delicious! (we shared the second one on my plate, just so you know.)

Then we goofed around that area for a little while. The farmers market was open so we walked through there and then found a couple of vintage shops to go in. We also found a shoe store that was lots of fun. That’s one thing that Chase and I enjoy, shoes! I think he could become a shoe designer someday, but we’ll see. ;)

After that we went to the Mariners game! It was Dave Neihaus Bobble Head Day… it was fun to watch them write on the field.

It was a fun game to go to, we actually won! :) The moose guy came to our section too, and it was the first time I had seen a successful wave throughout the whole stadium!

Also, the Blue Angels were practicing, so they were flying over us for atleast an hour. At first it was kind of scary to me, remember that plane crashing into the baseball field in Superman? Yeah.

After the game we went shopping at the new Southcenter mall and Platos Closet. Chase found better things and better deals than I did, but we still had a lot of fun. Plato’s Closet is probably our favorite store to go to these days…Then we went to Half Priced Books in Tacoma! We’ve started collecting older books. So we got two or three more to add to our small collection. It’s a cheap decoration for one of our many china cabinets/shelves!

We had a very fun time! :)

What fun! That sounds like an ideal day. I’m glad you guys got to go to Cafe Besalu as well. You guys did pretty good to only share 3 pastries. Stephen and I usually end up sharing 4 or 5! I love your old book collection too. I love books and I really enjoy old books. You’ll have to tell me more about Half Priced Books.
